BANGKOK II: Day 2 Part V - Victory Monument

Dec 2013

I read online that Victory Monument is an area for local street food and there is a market as well. But when I arrived, it was actually a shopping paradise for me. I do not know what is the history of the place and the reason for a monument with soldiers in the form of statues at the base of the monument. Hmm, let me go read up...

The monument historically commemorates Thailand's victory during the Franco-Thai War

Street vendors selling clothes, bags and accessories

Love these sneakers sold in one of the shops in Victory Mall. I bought one pair for THB350

Interesting painting of the mall's toilet

I love honey and bought a honey milkshake. The English menu makes it easier to just point out the drink I want to order as the vendor does not understand English. The mixture of the milk and honey tastes just nice

I bought this cute My Melody iphone 5s cover for THB 200. Cheap huh?

This is the pair of sneakers I bought at Victory Mall - Blue with white polka dot prints. I am a fan of shoes and clothes with ribbons or polka dots or heart-shaped designs.

Love that my room is big
